Softwave has the ability for plugins to process sound from the microphone. If you do not wish to allow access to the microphone, you can deny access. If, for some reason, the system is overruling your decision, you should be able to remove access explicitly through System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Microphone.
If the above does not work, you can reset all permissions given to Softwave through the Terminal by running this command:
