My Wave Ring doesn’t charge and won’t turn on?

After 4-5 months on not using and not turning my Wave Ring on it no longer charges. Apparently there’s an unapparent rule that is has to be powered on and charged every few weeks and prior to this I was not aware of this being the case so now that it doesn’t work how do I fix it?
