Softwave not installing on Windows 11
Hi, I am trying to use the Wave Ring with Softwave but unfortunately can't install it on Windows 11 (OS build 22631.4169, latest version 23H2, fully updated on 25.09.2024).
When I double-click on the exe file, just nothing happens, I see the loading clock icon for a second and then no pop-up window or any other indication for installing the software.
Is it compatible at all or what should I do in this case? In Win 11, there is no compatibility mode for programs to run in Win 10... So it should just work in 11, I hope!

I confirm that I was able to install the Softwave on both a Win 10 PC and on a MacOS. So it must be a Win 11 thing, I suspect a security issue is preventing me from running the exe file (in Win 10, it showed a pop-up saying it's an unrecognized app but I clicked Run Anyway and it worked out). On Win 11, I tried blocking my Firewalls and anti-virus app but it didn't solve out the installation. Also, my App install settings are Anywhere, not only from the Ms Store - but it must be another thing preventing me from running the program.
Tried googling the problem more but I don't have many more ideas for now. I hope you'll be able to help because I really need to use the ring data on the Win 11 laptop! It must be interrupting with the new security rules or there is another reason as well...

I have the same issue. I just purchased a windows device specifically so I could use Softwave in a live performance and I have it installed, but when I run the app, there is no UI. I can make the ring work with midi, but this is a real issue. I am hoping we can get some feedback on how to make this work, otherwise I will have to look at downgrading to win 10, but that seems like a big pain.

I was running Softwave on Win 10 with no problems. Then there was a note to upgrade Softwave but after I install the upgrade it no longer runs at all. I can run the install, it seems to install it, but at the end of the install when I click "run Softwave" nothing happens. Same when I select Softwave from the start menu - nothing happens. It smells like Windows is up to something? Can I get the old version of Softwave please?
Having the same problem. It's a pretty big issue. Can we get a response from admin?
As far as I can see, there is ZERO support for the product these days. The question remains — why do they sell it anyway?...
In the end, I didn't have another option to return the product, so I had to make it work somehow without any software support. So I found a MacBook, and it works okay on it (also on Win10). For that theater performance, I wanted to use it, it's fine. But obviously, it's an outdated product!
I spammed the comments of the Genki instagram and finally got this response.
Seems to work on my Windows laptop now with way better stability than I was getting on my MacBook.
