Genki Rings connections problems on MacOS
Hi,
I'm having problems connecting Genki Wave Rings on MacOS. Bluetooth shows they are connected, the software too, but the Rings are not active. Any tips how to solve this problem?
Thank!

Hi all!
We have just now pushed an updade for Softwave v0.13.2 which contains a firmware update for Wave (v1.7.9) which should fix these issues that were introduced in a previous firmware update.
You can download the update here
Same for me I tried many things but still doesnt work whereas its connected to bluetooth and the software (mac os sonoma)
any ideas? Did the support reach back to you?
No the didn't, I tried every thing I found on the forum but still doesnt work; I thought I managed to downgrade the ring firmware to 1.7.2 using DFU (everything was going fine, it completed the upload) but now the computer sees the ring as disconnected and it can't connect to the software or bluetooth anymore
Same here. I hadn't used mine in a while. Turned it on, Softwave indicated there was a firmware update. It has basically bricked my Wave, and zero response from Genki, really disappointing. If I completely 'forget' the device in Bluetooth, turn OFF Bluetooth, back on, once in a while I can get it connect and work for about 30 seconds. Then the ring just starts pulsating two LEDS again, and connection is lost.
Did everyone else also just update the firmware? Something is terribly wrong with it. Sure would be nice if they would respond. I guess glad I"m not the only one, at least this indicates something other than my unit being faulty.
I suppose this could be an issue with the latest 14.6.1 update to Sonoma too, but we need Genki to respond to us and not ignore us.
What helped me with a similar issue was to turn *Wi-Fi* off. Yep, Wi-Fi, interfering with Bluetooth somehow
My Wave still works to control other devices. But for my laptop and Softwave it doesn't exist, it just ignores it.
