sending CC on DOWN button press

Hi. My old Genky Wave's battery was lasting just a few minutes, so I decided to buy a new one.
(I don't know if there is an option to change battery, if so please tell me).
So here is the real problem:
Wave is no more sending CC when down button is pressed, it sends it just on release.
I created a lot of software to control my midi units based on pressing the down button, and now with the new one nothing is happening on press.

Someone is able to help me please?
